It's all over but the trimming.

The thing's done put together. I've been working (sporadically) on this afghan for almost a year, and all 100 squares are in order and in place and sewn together. And I have to put a row or two of single crochet around it, and trim all the ends and there are some in the middle that didn't get woven in, so I have to do that too. But it's basically done. I'm so proud of it and happy with it. Yay! Someday a picture will be taken and posted.

So What's Next? I have a fuzzy wannabe afghan that started in squares but I think will wind up in large granny form eventually. It's not really that much fun, but it's a throw for my mom's couches. And it's neat yarns. I want to do something for Melinda's wedding. And there are two quarters of a blanket for a cousin I started around the time his dad (my uncle) died. That would be easy to finish, I just have to do it.

But right now I want to finish this border, weave and trim some ends, and bask in the doneness of the mathghan.

tolisten: border

How do you do a border? I have never done one and want to do one on this afghan of mine once I have it finished.

single crochet all around, with 3 stitches in each corner. I think I'm doing 2 rows of sc. I was thinking about one of sc and one of slip stitch, but with the way the squares on this one go, 2 is going to pull them straighter.
